The list of actual 1350 cases from the DDSM, used for this study can be found in CaseList.txt. The file name of the uncompressed CC view image, for each case used is listed.

The files MassvsCalcifications.txt, BenignvsMalignantMass.txt and BenignvsMalignantCalcifications.txt contain the correlati on values for

a) Mass and calcification cases and the p values for comparing corresponding correlation values.

b) Benign and malignant mass cases and the p values for comparing corresponding correlation values.

c) Benign and malignant calcification cases and the p values for comparing corresponding correlation values.

The files contain three columns. The first column of the file MassvsCalcifications.txt, for example, contains the correlation between the the MLO and CC views texture features for all the mass cases. The second c olumn contains the correlation for all the calcification cases.

The first 20 entries of the first row correspond of the correlation values for one of the thirteen texture features (e.g. 'energy') calculated at various perpendicular and diagonal distances. The first 10 of these correspond to correlations for the tex ture features calculated at perpendicular distances ranging from 4 to 40 pixels. The next 10 correspond to correlations for the texture features calculated at diagonal distances ranging from 4 to 40 pixels. These 13 sets of 20 correlation values from the top to the bottom are in order for the features:

1. Energy

2. Correlation

3. Inertia

4. Entropy

5. Inverse difference moment

6. Sum Average

7. Sum Variance

8. Sum Entropy

9. Difference Average

10. Difference Variance

11. Difference Entropy

12. Information measure of Correlation 1

13. Information measure of Correlation 2.

The third column contains the p value obtained upon comparing the corresponding correlation value in column 1 and column 2. The files BenignvsMalignantMass.txt and Be nignvsMalignantCalcifiations.txt are similarly structured.
